Hollen+ delivered the world’s first ACTIVESCORE Platinum 100 scheme at Castlemead, Bristol.

This achievement formed part of a £3.4 million CAPEX programme, which included:

• A full extension and refurbishment of the building’s reception

• Design and delivery of award-winning cycling facilities in the basement – now the highest-rated ACTIVESCORE (formerly CYCLINGSCORE) scheme globally

• CAT A refurbishments to the 4th, 11th, and part of the 17th floors

• Installation of 12 EV charging points

As a result of the works, the building’s EPC improved from E to C, with a clear pathway established to achieve B.

Castlemead now offers market-leading ESG amenities, including the most highly accredited active-travel facilities worldwide.

These upgrades drove a 25% uplift in ERV and headline rents, directly attributable to the building improvements, and generated significant leasing momentum.
