How to Find an Energy Performance Certificate

How to Find an Energy Performance Certificate

To find a commercial EPC, follow these three simple steps:

  1. Visit the central Government EPC Register here:

  2. Enter the postcode of the building.

  3. Search through the available EPC’s to find the relevant certification.

Common Issues

  • Missing EPC - This can be caused by several issues, such as the EPC assessment not being lodged or an address or postcode discrepancy.

  • Expired EPC - EPC’s are currently valid for 10 years, and need to be renewed before they expire.

  • Address / Floor / Suite - Often incorrectly labelled.

  • Non-Compliant EPC - If the current rating is an F or G, this falls below the minimum requirement of EPC E and needs to be addressed urgently.

Please contact us with any issues locating an EPC or for EPC assessment renewal services, and one of our Non Domestic Energy Assessors (NDEA) will provide a solution.
